I've never been able to find the gym that has everything I love in it without paying an astronomical amount. Between Crossfit style HIIT workouts to boxing to regular old treadmills to of course a great steam room and sauna. So I built one but was missing this piece. I've only used steam rooms and traditional saunas and the thing I loved was just that super hot feeling of being in one. I've never stepped foot in an infrared one so I was a serious skeptic about ONLY getting to 140 versus the 170-200 I was used too. I had a hard time deciding between the infrared and steam version of this for my basement gym and landed on the infared for the dry heat and figured worse case I get a steamer pot and turn it into a steam version. Two uses in and I love it. You definitely get that super hot sauna feeling but it does take about 15 minutes to feel it as opposed to 5 minutes after walking into the wooden one at the gym. I'm used to 10-15 maybe 20 after a workout but this will take about that to get the sweat and warm feeling of the first 5-10 in a traditional one. Sit in here for 30-45 maybe and hour and the feeling is all there. That said, give it that time and it will definitely do the job. I've gotten it up to 130 before walking in and then it reads around 122-124 while I'm in it but probably because I'm absorbing a lot of the heat that would otherwise make it to the thermostat at the top. Thus far I have not been disappointed and have been finding ways to improve the experience with each use, I.e the remote hole in the back to put the remote inside so you don't have to unzip, turning on the foot pad for extra heat but not putting my feet on it, etc.
Noa******orThis product is truly amazing, and I wasn't expecting to find it for such an affordable cost. My wife and I have been dreaming of having our own sauna for the health benefits and relaxation that it brings. It's what we missed most about having a gym membership before the pandemic culture took that away. The setup is really easy, and all of the material and electronic functionings are perfect. The only minor problem I have is my sauna's framework fits just slightly too tight. I've put it together and taken it down a few times now in order to see if it would fit any easier so that I'm not putting the zippers at risk of breaking eventually. I always stick the posts into the sockets as tightly as they fit, but it is still very difficult to get the two zippers past the last corner before becoming the front door to the sauna. If only a couple of the vertical posts were just about a centimeter shorter, I bet it would fit just fine and easy. Either way though, we got it to work, and I will take great care of this when putting up and down. Everyone should buy this, especially if they've never yet even experienced a sauna; this is the perfect introduction to the whole field of saunas and heat therapy.
Tod*******romInitially I found the sauna good, but it had trouble getting above 120F with me inside. I could easily feel the heat escaping and cool air entering through the thin fabric walls. It was still nice at 120F but I wanted all 140F it was capable of. I purchased a 3' X 25' roll of foil bubble insulation and tucked a layer of it between the frame and the fabric shell on all 4 walls. The difference is staggering; the unit easily reaches 140F with me inside. Once at 140F you can hear the control unit toggling the heaters off and on since they don't need to stay on continuously to keep it at 140. Highly recommended with this easy and not too expensive modification.
J**I love my Serenelife infrared full sized portable Sauna! It's perfect for home use and feels just like the gym sauna. It is very easy to assemble. I assembled it easily with little use of instructions, the picture diagrams were great to follow. I purchased my first sauna in November of 2019. I used it every other day as it helps with my chronic pain, the heat is very comparable to the sauna I used at the gym, the warmth soothes my aching joints and muscles. It also relaxes me, as I use my time in the sauna to meditate, pray and get ready for my day. Well in November 2020, my sauna just stopped working. I was devastated! I emailed and called the company, long story short, the customer service I received from (Caleb) was awesome. You see a I have an Autoimmune disease and this sauna really helps me so very much, as stated before in pain relief, mind clarity and an overall feeling of wellness, that's what I get when I use my sauna. The company sent me a replacement in January 2021, I was overjoyed and ever so grateful to be able to continue using my Serenelife infrared full sized portable sauna, I sit in my sauna chair and feel sauna heaven. The replacement Sauna is great, because I can unzip it from the inside, without having to use the velcro window as I did with the previous one. Soo, they sent me an upgrade. Thank you serenelife, soo very much for honoring your warranty. I am sitting in my sauna as I write this review. May your company continue to help those of us, who can no longer go to a gym. I am so very thankful. Caleb's customer service was great, he let me know every step he was taking along the way to help me. Thank you Serenelife for creating such a wonderful full sized sauna. I am so glad to be your customer and am sharing the good news with others. God Bless you and your business.
L***FI've been looking at Infrared saunas for a while and landed SereneLife. It was easy to put together but make sure you have someone to help. The poles need to be held up by someone while the others are put into place or else they fall over. The cover needed some strength to pull over the poles. Once everything was in place and held together it was easy to flip it over to stand upright. The booklet says it takes 5 minutes to reach 131 F but mine is taking 10 - 15 minutes to reach 120 F. I have mine set up in the corner of the garage so I don't need to worry about taking it down to store it. The controller is easy to use just make sure to get used to it before you want to try the sauna. There are no lights on the foot pad so I find I am not using it because it gets really hot. I try every couple of days to get used to just the low setting. I set up a little table right outside so I can keep my phone and water handy. After I get out and the unit has cooled down I clip the door back so it stays a little neater. All in all I love it and am really glad I made the purchase.
Black-************st man1hour setup time; faster than expected. The directions badly need an editor….the English is fine however it’s as if they confuse construction and use. They also leave out quite a bit of detail that some will find stalls their construction; you will need to use your imagination as to what was intended. Actual construction was accomplished by 1 person, however, a second person may be needed especially if constructing in confined space. They suggest draping the tent over the scaffold while the latter is standing upright; I was able to do this, however, heavy electronics that can’t easily be removed are already embedded in the tent fabric, so pulling the tent over was challenging. I’d suggest laying the scaffold on its side. I did not run into the typical problem with the tents of ripping or mismatch of size leading to a difficult fit; in the end it was snug but not tight to the point where I expect rips over time. Others reported not being able to get the unit to achieve 140F; I was able to get a steady 140 F after 20-25 muntes, in ambient basement temperature of 59F.
Ev*****uerIt arrived quickly and the box wasn't particularly heavy. I was able to set it up in less than an hour. It may have been less than 30 minutes. Me and my wife used it several times before we decided to make a few simple modifications that made the sauna way better . First modification: The sauna heats up quickly but it losses heat through the zipper seams and although the walls are insulated it could be more insulated. Although the max temp is 140 I couldn't get it above the 120's while sitting in it. I covered the inside walls, behind the heating pads with an additional layer of reflective bubble insulation. I covered all walls and the ceiling. The insulation is pretty inexpensive. I also covered all the seams(except the door) with adhesive insulation. That keeps all the heat in. I couldn't cover the door zipper because you need to be able to get in and out BUT i have a curtain of the bubble insulation hanging inside that covers those leaky parts. Modification 2: The folding seat that comes with the sauna is comfortable but the frame is metal and gets how. If you touch it it hurts. I purchased on Amazon a bamboo folding sauna chair. Its comfortable and no burns. I also purchased a bamboo floor mat. The foot heating pad get really hot and putting your feet directly on it is painful. I keep the pad under the seat and its another heating element for the sauna. The other addition is I bough an $8 hanging oven stove and hang it from the center ceiling. I wanted to make sure the temperature on the gauge was correct but it seems to be spot on. With the modifications its quite comfortable and you get get the temperature to 140 with you sitting in it.
Lo*****izThis portable sauna heats up fast and gets me sweating in no time. It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and has a high pocket in the back to store the power cords, etc - which is plus for people with pets that like to munch on cords. Easily wipes clean after use, unlike most messy steam saunas. The accompanying chair is small but sturdy. Highly recommend.
